15:15 A large angry crowd, which included victim Nong Kaem's mother and sister, were present at the Pran Buri police station where a press conference by Pol.Gen.Aek Angsananont was scheduled to begin, causing some delay.
Wanchai Saenkhao, the confessed suspect in the rape and murder case, was present, but he did not speak.
Pol.Gen.Aek said one key piece of evidence was Nong Kaem's I-phone 5S which Mr Wanchai had tried to sell.
The planned re-enactment of the crime has been cancelled for today and it is not clear when or if it will be rescheduled.
12:00 Thai PBS reports that police have not yet been able to carry out the planned crime re-enactment because of the large angry crowd that is surrounding the police station in Pran Buri near the crime site. The suspect was taken to Pran Buri earlier this morning by helicopter.
11:20 Post Today reports that a doctor at Pran Buri hospital who examined the body said the cause of death was likely a fractured skull which occurred when the victim's head hit the ground after been thrown from a window of the train.
9:20 Thai PBS reports that a re-enactment of the crime has been scheduled for 10am in Pran Buri. Emotions are running high in the surrounding community, so about 200 police have been brought in to keep order.
Body of missing girl found
The body of a thirteen-year-old girl, missing from a Bangkok-bound overnight train from Surat Thani since early Sunday morning, has been found near the side of the tracks in a forested area in Pran Buri, Prachuap Khiri Khan.
The discovery was made after a railway employee contracted from a private firm confessed to having raped and killed her. Twenty-two-year-old Wanchai Saengkhao said he threw the body off the train after the crime. He said he had earlier taken both methamphetamines and beer.
About 2am this morning, a 20-man search team from the Sawang Phae Phaisan Thammasathan Foundation was sent out to look for the body based on information given by Mr Wanchai. The girl's older sister accompanied the group and identified the body. It was found in a forested area of the province near the Wang Pong railway station.
The young girl was reported missing by her sister Kanala, 22, about 4.30am on Sunday. The sisters were travelling on a second-class sleeping coach with their other 10-year-old sister and Ms Kanala's male friend.
A massive search was quickly mounted. Local police from Prachuap Khiri Khan all the way to Bangkok, the Children, Juveniles and Women Police Division, the Railway Police Division and railway authorities joined the search for the missing girl, thought to have disappeared somewhere between Prachuap Khiri Khan and Nakhon Pathom.
