Hua Hin designer offers one-of-a-kind T-shirts

Sometimes it's exhausting to follow fashion trends all the time. As the saying goes, "fashion fades, but style is eternal" – so let's be versatile yet stylish, by wearing the most comfortable, simplest and easiest thing: a T-shirt – Tees from Phappim, that is.
"Customers can order whatever they want to have on their T-shirts," said 27-year-old Anusorn 'Q' Praneerat-chalert, owner of Phappim Drawn T-shirts, who can be found at Cicada Market in Hua Hin on Friday to Sunday from 5pm-12am.
"I can draw anything from animals to celebrities and I only take about 10-15 minutes, which is our advantage since customers don't have to wait for too long to get their T-shirts," he said.
"What customers like about my work is the fine little details, like the stains on animal skin or human hair. I have my own drawing style which can enhance all these details. Even when I draw the same picture, it will never be the identical because I use different line patterns each time.
"As Hua Hin is a world-famous holiday destination, my customers come from everywhere and the requests are anything they can imagine. Some have asked me to draw them taking a bath or to draw their daughter drinking vodka. One person asked me to draw him beheaded with blood splattered all over. I respect every imagination – it's their T-shirt and they want something that is original and different," said Q.
This couple bought this T-shirt as a gift from Hua Hin.
"Ever since I was a little boy, I've always wanted to be an artist. I want to work with what I have studied in college, which is art.
"I thought of something that can be used every day and a T-shirt was the first thing that popped into my head. So I wondered: why don't I turn an ordinary T-shirt into something that is unique and recognisable? That would be something I can be really proud of."
T-shirts can be worn with anything. You can mix them with jeans to create a sporty look or you can even make dresses out of them by selecting the long ones to make you a bit girly. But sometimes, an ordinary T-shirt can be dull and indistinctive. Phappim T-shirts might be another option.
